Which Would Be More Useful Today?

The debate between Locke’s and Hobbe’s inverse ideas of how to manage a civilization as a ruler has prevailed for centuries, and has turned into one of history’s greatest subjects to argue over. However, I believe John Locke’s philosophy would prove to be better if it were to be applied in today’s world. It is more morally correct than that of Hobbe’s philosophy. If Hobbe’s idea was applied, people would revolt only by the description. A vast majority of American citizens have some sort of patriotism, and with patriotism comes a line that everyone has heard; “The Land Of The Free, And The Home Of The Brave.”
